AMF signs several international MoUs at Kazan Global Youth Summit 2026

During the Kazan Global Youth Summit 2026, Mahshid Taghikhani, Director of International Organizations and Embassies at the Asian Mayors Forum (AMF), signed seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on behalf of the Forum with organizations from Türkiye, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Pakistan, Iraq, and Lebanon.

The agreements represent an important step toward strengthening international cooperation in key areas, including youth empowerment, sustainable development, innovation, environmental initiatives, and urban cooperation. The newly established partnerships are also intended to provide a framework for developing and implementing joint programs and projects, facilitating knowledge and experience exchange, and organizing educational courses, workshops, and international events.

The Asian Mayors Forum hopes that these agreements will serve as a foundation for new avenues of collaboration between its member cities and international partners, while creating greater opportunities for young people to participate in educational, developmental, and urban initiatives across Asia and beyond.Through these partnerships, the Forum aims to further promote international dialogue, exchange expertise, and support practical cooperation among cities, organizations, and youth networks at the regional and international levels.

The AMF delegate participated as the only representative of Iran in the Kazan Global Youth Summit 2026, held from August 27 to 30, 2026, in the Russian city. The event brought together selected young participants from more than 40 countries around the world.
