The opening ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Hospitals and Medical Centers (IPH2026) was held with the participation of AMF Secretary-General, Dr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh.
Dr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, who attended the event as a keynote speaker, emphasized the importance of health tourism in his remarks and addressed the effective role of municipalities in this field and the existing capacity in this area.
The Secretary-General added that municipalities can play a role in the development of health tourism in various areas, including infrastructure, facilitation, city branding, and urban diplomacy.
He emphasized that the city of Tehran, with its advanced medical infrastructure, specialized human resources, and competitive advantage in cost and quality, has the capacity to become one of the regional hubs of health tourism.
The 5th International Conference and Exhibition on Hospitals and Medical Centers (IPH 2026) was held from August 29 to 31, 2026, at the Homa Hotel in Tehran.
