The second advanced course of the “Young Diplomats” was held on September 9–10 in collaboration with the DiploHouse Think Tank, with the participation of those interested in diplomacy and international relations, both in person and virtually.
The two-day course, which began with a welcome address by the Secretary-General of the Forum, Dr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, hosted Dr. Mohammad Javad Larijani, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Judiciary, as the opening speaker. In his remarks, he elaborated on the four fundamental pillars of diplomacy and emphasized the importance of this field in today’s world and modern international relations.
During the first day of the course, key concepts of international relations, the drafting of diplomatic texts and UN resolutions, the role of cities and local governments in international relations, and defense diplomacy were discussed and exchanged in specialized sessions with the participation of Dr. Jalal Dehghani Firouzabadi, Dr. Mohammad Reza Haji Karim Jabbari, AMF Secretary General, and Staff Colonel Samad Vafaee.
Regional convergence as a tool of diplomacy, experiences of diplomatic missions, methods of analyzing international crises, and the emergence of new powers and their impact on the global order were among the topics discussed and examined in the specialized sessions of the second day with the participation of the H.E. Ambassador of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Luong Ngoc, the H.E. Ambassador of Indonesia Mr. Rolliansyah Soemirat, Dr. Mehdi Khanalizadeh, and Dr. Keyhan Barzegar.
This two-day course was held with the aim of educating and training the younger generation in the field of diplomacy and international relations.
