Mayors of Shiraz and Urmia, two AMF member cities, participated in the 5th Forum of SCO Heads of Regions Meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Shiraz Mayor Mohammadhassan Asadi outlined a new roadmap for multilateral ties, proposing a “Shanghai Cities Coalition” while detailing the recent attacks on Iranian citizens and urban infrastructure. Urmia Mayor Rahman Rezai also addressed the recent imposed war and showcased Urmia’s capacities.
Both mayors met with Iran’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, as well as city officials from China, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
