During a ceremony at the 1st International Congress of “Green City, Green University” held at University of Tabriz, the Environmental Capital of Asia plaque was presented to the Municipality of Tabriz.
Najmeh Khatami, AMF Deputy Secretary-General, presented the plaque, describing Tabriz as “one of the leading cities in the region in environmental action.” She stated that Tabriz’s selection as the Environmental Capital of Asia for 2025 is the result of the city administration’s continuous efforts and the strong cooperation of its citizens.
The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the two-day event featuring specialized panels and an exhibition showcasing green technologies and innovations.
