The sixth issue of the Asian Mayors Forum Activity Report highlights AMF’s key activities and international engagements from April to June 2024.
During this period, AMF participated in the BRICS+ event in Kazan and contributed to the establishment of the “BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities,” focusing on strengthening inter-city cooperation among BRICS+ countries. AMF also held meetings and explored cooperation with cities including Shanghai, Kazan, Hamedan, and Fardis, as well as international organizations and partners.
The report also highlights AMF’s initiatives in public diplomacy, women’s participation, science and technology cooperation, urban tourism, and cultural exchange, including participation in Kazan Forum 2024, cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), joint visits to academic and technology institutions, and urban cultural programs.
