Khalid bin Hamoud bin Abdullah Al Khalifa is the Governor of the Capital Region of Bahrain, responsible for the administration of Manama. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Information Technology and a Master of Real Estate Development. He was previously the CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and previously the Deputy Minister of Tourism.

Manama is the capital and largest city of Bahrain.

Manama has a long history as a settlement, having been founded in the 14th century.

Since 1950, the city has gradually developed into a commercial port city and has become an important commercial center in the Persian Gulf. Oil, heavy industry, banking, and tourism are the most important economic axes of the city.

The city is also the cultural and educational center of Bahrain.
