AMF SG hosts counterpart from Metropolis

On May 1st, the Asian Mayors Forum hosted Mr. Jordi Vaquer, Secretary General of Metropolis – the World Association of Major Metropolises.

The visit, held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, included a cordial meeting with AMF Secretary General Hamidreza Gholamzadeh.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of inter-organizational collaboration and engaged in productive discussions on strengthening cooperation between the two networks. Key topics included maximizing the potential of member cities, sharing successful experiences in urban management, and identifying opportunities for joint innovative initiatives.
The dialogue also highlighted the need to enhance the global role of metropolises, promote urban diplomacy, and expand regional and international platforms for collaboration.
