In 2023, the Asian Mayors Forum elected three nominees to be titled 2024 Asian Capitals of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, among which the City of Hamedan won the title of the Asian Capital of Tourism in 2024. To highlight its achievements and address their concerns for the development of urban tourism, the City of Hamedan has offered to host the 10th Executive Board Meeting (EB10) of the Asian Mayors Forum as well as the Technical Committee Meeting on Urban Tourism on August 28-29 2024.
