Isfahan signs twinning agreement with Kazan

Isfahan, an AMF member, has signed a twinning agreement with Kazan, the capital of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan. The agreement was formalized on April 9, 2025, during a ceremony at the historic Chehel Sotoun Palace in Isfahan, with mayors Ali Ghasemzadeh and Ilsur Metshin in attendance.
This twinning marks Isfahan’s 16th sister-city partnership and aims to strengthen collaboration in culture, tourism, sustainable urban development, and education between the two historic cities.
