Umurzakov Shavkat Buranovich, born in 1979, is the current Mayor (Hokim) of Tashkent.
He has previously served as the acting mayor of the city, the head of the department for combating economic crimes and corruption of the Prosecutor's Office, Deputy Prosecutor General, Chairman of the board of the UzAutoMotors company.
Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan and the largest city in Central Asia.
