Wang Fengchao (born 1965) is a Chinese politician serving as mayor of Chengdu since 2020.
He has previously served as vice-governor of Sichuan Province.
Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province in Southwestern China and the fourth most populous city of the country.
Being the capital of Sichuan since 1368, Chengdu enjoys an ancient history and culture and has traditionally served as an administrative and economic hub.
Chengdu is home to UNESCO-registered sites, while being a major industrial center with manufacturing, textile, chemicals and technology.
Sichuan is also home to much of the world’s giant panda population.
