Gaza City

Gaza is a city in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, and serves as the capital of the Gaza Governorate.
Gaza was the most populous city in Palestine until October 2023, when Israel started a genocidal war against it leading to loss of thousands of lives, mass destruction and displacement.

Gaza has an ancient history, dating back to 15th century BC and has a majority of Muslim population.

Located on the Mediterranean coast, the city is home to the only port of the Palestine and has a crucial role in the economy of the Gaza Strip, hugely affected by decades of blockade and conflict.
